I think that an awful lot now relies on Keeler, if he starts this season like he ended the last one we should be ok, on the other hand if he starts like he did last year then god help us.
To me he is best when coming off the bench anyway, if we need 30 minutes from him he'll deliver whether he can do that over 90 through a course of a season is open to question.
If we are not careful we'll sleepwalk into a poor season but i'm positive that Riles knows what he needs and he'll know it's is not at the club at the moment.
We need a quality partner for Gilly, from the little i've seen of Eastham he's not it - a proven target man that still has got a little left in his legs and is not here for a last payday or some ressie whos shows promise for the future but someone proven at our level or above and who is still hungry.
We still need the big grunter in midfield to protect the back line and break up opponents play, we needed that when smiffy was still here!
That i think is the minimum we need to achieve anything like we achieved last season and if we want to look at bettering last season we need a depth of quality in the squad that we have not had. For me last night there were to many players out there who were taking it easy and did not seem to bothered about the performance - clear them out and lets have a decent eleven or twelve players supplemented by hungry youngsters from a level or two below us.......................if i was George Gunn i'd be wondering what i had to do to get a look in.
