I was trying not to be to downbeat, but you are right in what you say. It was a team with enough in them to roll over a team like Poole easily enough. Is the quality there? Eastham had a shot off the bar but he seems to move slower than the tides and spent the rest of the half in the pockets of a very wessex defence whilst our midfield did not seem to win a ball all night. We're sound enough in defence what with matty coming back etc but our midfield has been decimated and we need to get in quality to get in there with Knowlsy and Rowe. Very disappointed with Jezza last night, he had enough chances to shine and win the game himself but he elected to look for the lay-off everytime and forgo responsibility. If ever a game was there for a player to take by the scruff of the neck and show the manager that he deserves a starting place then this was it for Jezza and he hid. We need to see a huge improvement in the next five games.
