Yes the Oldes were started from other breeds. Just like every other breed. This is not the issue! By doing F1 breedings you are basically saying that there are no OEB's good enough to breed to. The whole point is just pick one. I didn't see anyone bashing the EB. There are enough good OEB's that we don't have to bring in other stuff. At some point in time we have to get a pure line or our dogs will be looked at as designer dogs. The books cannot stay open forever or we get nowhere.
This whole thing was not about which one is better. They are DIFFERENT breeds and should be recognized as such. No right or wrong, just pick one and go with it.
Again let me emphasize, Bulldogs and Bulldogges are different breeds!!! Not that one is better they are Different Breeds.
And the standard you used above is different than the ones I am familiar with. NBA standard for example does not show prejudice toward eye color, nose color (only lack of pigment), or tails (as long as they don't curl over the back).
And just to be clear, Noone said OEB's are better than EB's. They are DIFFERENT BREEDS.
Emphasis on they are DIFFERENT BREEDS.
