Just to clarify some of the common questions I am receiving by email regarding this lens: . This lens is an genuine Konica Minolta part designed originally for the Dimage Z10. It appears to have some sort of lens coating and is made from optical glass . It has a 0.7x magnification factor giving a field of view of 17mm when used at the GX100s 24mm end. . It does not vignette at any focal length the GX100 uses . The lenses are brand new (unused) and come in a small two part hard plastic lens filter container . They are a 43mm thread design and it screws directly onto the HA-2 adapter without a stepping ring being necessary . They are very compact; they add approx 5mm in length when attached to the HA-2 adapter and are only a little wider in diameter than the adapter tube itself . They are a single element design (simple) and therefore there is some corner softness and chromatic abberation. Most images benefit from some post processing and sharpening . There are very few problems with flare considering the wide angle and many users comment that contrast is actually increased using this lens. . To work, the camera (GX100) must use MACRO focus which is slow - but this can be resolved by setting a MACRO focus distance and saving it as a "MY" setting - works the same as snap focus (fast). I send full instructions with the lens. . The expanded field of view is not corrected and gives a FISHEYE effect - curved verticals . Pictures of the GX100 and ZCW-200 attached can be found at Flickr.com using a search of "GX100 17mm" Hope this clarifies things for those considering a great accessory for the GX100/200! (also works great on the Fuji E900 by the way!) eck.
