With the abundance of strange that ran around here, a gimpy leg was hardly anything anyone paid much mind too. She must never have met Alerion, the bronze warrior with a bad leg. Or Strandwolf, the gold warrior with a torn face. In their world, where physical imperfections were massive handicap, they were still able to excel. Unless her tongue was broken, she needen’t fuss; but even then a speechless scholar could still learn and teach.

It was a short, airy laugh that ended after a few bursts of noise before the roan was able to strap it back into her throat, aware of how rude she must have seemed at the moment. She shook her head, swallowing it back down in her gut but unable to hide a grin from her lips either way. ”If that’s all, then I can only say I am glad you have that leg. If you use it as a tool to drive you forward, you should never be ashamed of it.” Huyana flicked her tail, relishing the added spray of water, the small drops she could feel even in the heavy downpour still streaming from the heavens. ”But you shouldn’t be preoccupied with it either way. You have greater things to turn your mind to, a slightly defective leg is not one of them.” She could tell Indira all she wanted to not to worry about it, not to think about it. But what we should do, what we want to do, what we end up doing; they are all usually very different. Indira would only get over her leg’s hindrance when she wanted to, Huyana had little say in the matter.
”Now I’ve told you all about the ranks, next would be the elements.” Huyana shook her head, wet mane flopping on either side of her neck. ”Water, Air, Earth, Fire, and Lightning are the five elements one can possess. You will find yourself earning levels in a certain element, the one that fits you best. You can gain up to three levels, each one providing more control and expression of your element.”
