Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
The sad thing is, Triggerphish is completely right.
There weren’t a lot of lightning horses that used their powers for good. Simon blamed the horses over the element – like anyone else they were attracted to the lure of power. Lighting was savage – it could be blindly visible or deadly invisible.
He flinched as Triggerphish yelled, pinning his ears to his skull. A smile crept across his winsome features though. “I suppose you’re right.” He sighed, recalling his past incident with lightning horses. “Your brain will not melt, I don’t think.” He said warmly, rolling his shoulders as he nosed the other affectionately.
“I like you alive.” His eyes slid along the other’s frame. Well, partly alive. Still skinny though, even in death. “I don’t think I’ll throw you to the wolves by making you go back.”
“Congratulations, you’ve completed your first assignment. I believe you are an apprentice now?”
His Air and Earth thrummed with congratulations, assenting to the recent promotion.
