Loti also enjoys the change of scenery, sometimes. She loves the ocean well enough, it's occasionally sandy and occasionally rocky shoreline, the deep blueness of the salt water and the crash of waves upon the earth. All of that was appealing, and much beloved of the opiate mare, but so was the vegetation and shade of the gardens. There were trees, of course, in Solira, and plenty of plants. Even plants that effected one's thinking grew naturally
in Solira, not just in the academy. However, in the academy's gardens there was more of it, like some kind of menagerie of plantlife. It was different, in a very subtle way, and Loti enjoyed it, even if there was no ocean to lurk in.
These are the thoughts going through Loti's mind as she sits in the shade of a copse of trees, escaping the worst of the summer heat. The apprentice is getting used to this, the long afternoons of thinking, pondering, learning. You never stop learning as a scholar, not even once you begin to ascend the ranks. And Loti has the task ahead of her of teaching, of passing on her knowledge to those who want to learn as badly as she. That, surely, will be a learning experience both for Loti and her students.
The clairvoyance ability that Loti is also still getting used to stirs, tells her there's another horse approaching. She smiles, seeking out the mind she feels growing closer, and learns that it is seeking her. As she sees Amelia move in front of her, she steps forward, nodding. She does her best to look serene and welcoming, though she is, as always, wary. Perhaps this is what Kemush was preparing her for, in his attempt to quell her distrust of her fellow horse.
"I am Loti." she replies, softly, to the question. "Your teacher. I'm pleased to meet you. How do you like the academy? And is there anything specifically you would like to learn?"
