(OOC; I just wanted to let you know I didn't know if I am supposed write it all like one big story or what, so I just wrote it out in a story but kinda seperated them so you can see all the questions answered)
Long before horses became residents of the Element, there were only the four basic elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. They all lived within relative harmony with one another. One day Fire danced along in its unpredictable way. He wandered through the meadow and trees, never scorching Earth below him. He knew Earth’s anger would be unbearable. But Air came along teasing Fire until Fire was an inferno. Fire raged against Air and scorched the Earth below him. Earth usually slow to anger cracked beneath Fire and tried to swallow him into his depths. Fire in his anger surged away from the cracks of Earth, blackening grass and tress as he raced after Air. Air, always the trickster, led Fire to Water. Fire was blind in his anger and did not see the churning river of water that twisted through the woods. Earth chased behind Fire ready to swallow the inferno that burned his grass, his trees, his flowers. Fire came upon Water and finally just before he fell in, he grasped Air in his fiery clutches. Earth swallowed Water, Fire, and Air in his blind anger to cause harm to Fire who had hurt him. Suddenly as the four elements mixed and within the smoke of the temporarily extinguished Fire, a bright light leapt from the ground to the sky. He crackled with glee this new elemental fiend and looked upon Water, Air, Fire, and Earth as they quit their bickering to study this new phenomenon. Lightning young and new soon crackled through Air and found them to be neutral to one another. Water surged up to meet Lightning as he fell. Once Lightning’s bolts touched Water, however, Water pulled away in pain, (so an enemy was formed like Fire hated Water in its strength over his Fire). Fire was next and like Air there was neither pain nor pleasure between the two. Earth’s ground formed mountains to reach up and touch Lightning. He found that he alone had the power to keep the silly element in his place. Thus Lightning was formed with strengths and weaknesses like the other elements.
Stone was within the pit that Earth had created and swallowed Air, Water, and Fire. When Lightning was born and all five elements were temporarily in there together, a particular black rock of lava collected a small essence of each element.
The essences together were constantly at war with one another. The bickering and fighting caused malice to be born. Each element wished to swallow their weaker counterparts. An injured squirrel scrambled over the rock one day and in that moment the rock first had blood. The elements in their entrapment found that blood made their powers stronger. And so the first to die happened with their manipulation and cruelty.
Necromancer was as stallion that came to the element many weeks before his herd. He was a lone scout to make sure the lands were safe for the herd with it’s pregnant mares and babes. He noted the odd way the elements seemed to live here. He was surprised but always calm; he always took it all in stride. His personality was responsible, kind…all the traits that one could hope for in a stallion that would love and protect others. Among his travels through this new land the stone whispered his name to him. He went to it, curious, and dug it free from the small layer of dirt that had covered it. It was old then but still as black as ever. Using it’s very subtle powers to manipulate, Stone had Necromancer lie upon it and used his elements and power to embed itself deep within the muscles of Necromancer’s shoulder. There was a small scar in the shape of an X after it healed. When Necromancer awoke, he got to his feet. At first he felt no different for the shard was dormant (for the moment) within his shoulder. He could remember nothing about the Stone before lying down, only remembering he had been suddenly very tired. Then much later when his herd began to slowly trickle into the Element as was their way, he felt his personality begin to change. He became what the stone wanted, became the monster that killed his family and friends in order to quench the Stone’s thirst for blood and power.
The Seed was created when the elements created lightning. A butterfly had been flying through the whirlwind of elements. It never died and was not harmed in all the madness as Lightning flew from the ground. She looked at herself and found that she had changed. Only happiness could ever be found from the silly little creature who lasted for eons. It is why she brings such happiness to the holder of her relic. She is so happy that it overflows into her Guardian. She stayed away from the Stone, knowing what lurked beneath its black façade was evil and malicious. When combined with the other relics, the Seed could possibly be the thing that defeats the stone for once and for all.
