She very much reminded her of herself at a younger age. She could still remember when she would ask Icarus or Rook or Fei so many questions, knowing they could hardly keep up with her as she rambled on with them. "The Elders are like you and me, for the most part. The elements are very much what you think they are. They are inside all of us and around us. They are everything and nothing at all. But the Elders are flesh and blood. They are Seers. They know so much and they have helped others like I am helping you. "They are the ones who give us the names of our students. However, as an Apprentice you learn to see into others' minds." Still the strange kitten-cat laying against her withers. "And I will call you Nettle, I do not mind. Though I may ask you how that is the nickname you have acquired?" Her ears perked with curiosity. Still not completely understanding how she had a name after a plant that could be rather abrasive, when she was clearly not that way. At least not that she saw. The name of her brother brought interest as well. Ticks were such vile and disgusting creatures. She hardly believed this mare's brother was any such thing. But it was not the time or place to discuss Tick. It was Nettle's turn. "Earth is a good choice for you I think. There are even thing I do not completely understand, but I can feel it. And it feels right for you." Lightning and fire were so harsh and volatile and air reminded her so much of Icarus - a wanderer. An ungrounded person. Zesab didn't seem like air either. Even from the way she spoke about her brother it seems that he was the one to be water. "Maybe I can help you with Tick. To help you help him that is. So that you can show him you are strong on your own, but that your bond is still the same." She moved around slightly, stretching, and curling back up again. The sing song voice of the mare continued on and she felt like she was listening to herself more and more. At least the way she used to be. Her happy-cat face still purring away all the while. She laughed suddenly at her first question. It was not a laugh to hurt the mare's feelings, but the curious nature of the question excited her. "I can't say it hurts. It feels...different...but there is no pain. It is like standing in a stream when the earth moves at the same time." After she says it she almost wonders if that even made sense. "I have been an apprentice much longer than I have been a teacher..." She hesitated, not wanted Zesab to think she would be abandoned. "I had to go away for awhile...to collect myself. But I am back now and I am ready." She nods her multicolored face as if that would make her statement more powerful. "And I was taught by a wonderful teacher. I was very fond of her. Her name was Yehl, but she went by Raven. I hope that I can be like her, she helped me through a hard time. I knew from when I was a small filly that I wanted this path. I never had a warriors heart. I do not need the fight or bloodshed. And to be honest, I would have made a lousy spy." She laughed lightly at the thought. It was completely true. "I had many fears, many more than I do now I think. I am not sure that anyone can ever really overcome a fear. Maybe they can be less afraid but somewhere deep down it is always there." She sighed, shifting uneasily. "Perhaps I am even still overcoming some of them myself. My parents abandoned me when I was very young and ever sense I have had a hard time knowing where I belong. What feels right. In a way you can even say I fear that sense of not knowing." It was an uneasy topic for her. So many things had gone wrong in her life. So many things she had to fight against and continue to persevere through. "Being strong and having faith helps, though. Always knowing that it must get better, that things must change eventually. I think that is how I have overcome some part of my fears." She leans her head over her shoulder again. "I think I may have an idea to help you and your brother." She wasn't sure of it, but Nettle could tell her for sure if it would be helpful or not. Even mind readers couldn't possibly know everything. "I would like for you to go to Ni'Srilan...by yourself...and visit Sammael." There was a very good reason she left Atticus out of the picture. She tended to be abrasive and trying. Sammael was much softer. "I think you might learn something from him. If nothing else it might help you show your brother he doesn't need to worry about you as much. That he can focus on himself as well." She jumped from the mare's shoulders with a soft thud. Her strange colored cat eyes peering up at the mare. Waiting to see if that was acceptable. (ooc: does that sound like a feasible objective? basically just going there by herself to talk to someone new XD if not i/we can think of something else!)
