Her eyes tear from his words to stare at the plant life that is so very out of place in this time frame. And she does not respond. He was exactly right. Her life force had been untouched, unmarred by anything other than what mother nature had intended. She was pure in that sense, if not all others. Carefully she watched it push up through the white covering, battling in silence, unaware of its captive audience of one. It was a pause before Simons voice intruded on the private show, and she turned back to him. A gasp crept past her throat as her eyes followed the sea shell and she couldn’t do anything to stop the wide grin that splayed across her every fibre. “It’s beautiful” a pause as windy fingers crept past her forehead to play in the dancing strands, “Thank you Simon” What else could she say? Her head was brought down in a slow nod as he spoke, every nerve and muscle orientated towards the stallion. It would be a daunting task for her, to pick just one was like asking a child at Willy Wonkas factory to sample only a taste of one select candy, and to leave all others alone. But she figured that was the same for everyone, and that even the chance to befriend one element was more than anyone could ask for in a life time. She nods again, contemplating. “Of course.” And she smiles - genuine. “I won’t let you, or myself, down” And she wouldn’t. Eithne lowered her head, her nostrils picking up the delicate scent of the budding rose that her teacher was responsible for. Her eyes closed momentarily before opening once more as she spoke. “I will take my leave now. I have some thinking and exploring to do” A light laugh for ‘some’ was an understatement. “I will see you soon Simon” And she reached out her soft tipped muzzle to whuffle a goodye before she turned to start the first leg of her journey. Hello! My name is Eithne. I'm a mix of temper and humor, of stubborness and second chances. It's been 4 years I wandered off from my homelands. I dance to my own beat, and if I don't like you, then I really, really don't like you. However! If you can convince me to be friends, then we're friends for life.

“Simon.” She voices his name, the words spilling from her mouth in a mixture of awe, respect, and just a hint of comradery. There is a tug on her conscience and she realizes all at once that this Simon character will always occupy a morsel of her being, whether either of them want him to or not. But this thought is not depressing or scary in any way, it simply is. And she accepts this with delight and understanding, knowing that he will fit in nicely with all the others that have in one way or another touched her life. Indeed. He will be her teacher, and she in turn will be his willing student. And despite what levels she may attain, this chain of hierarchy will not be changed within herself. This thought - settled in a matter of seconds - was tucked away in the back of her mind to simply exist and mingle with the other facts that made up her life.
