It was true that they had never truly met, and she wondered silently of these powers that the scholars wielded so brazenly, for Iolar was not the first to trespass as such, and gather for himself thoughts from her own delicate mind. She did not cringe however, as her name slipped fluently from the roll of his tongue; almost as though they have come together to speak on many occasions. A smile grew calmly across her small face, and her eyes were shining and clear as they welcomed the stallion forward. “Thank you.” She replied gratefully. “My perspective on life has matured. I seek the life of a scholar because my talents do not lie with the untameable desire to fight and conquer.” Of course she referred directly to the time she had spent trying earnestly to develop the many skills needed to become a warrior; but such a life was never for her, her nature was peaceful; her manner pure and simple. The life of a Spy did not interest her in the slightest, for Delilah was honest and true. “I trust the whisper of heart.” Delilah watched the gentile grace of the stallion and was comfortable with her decision no matter how badly her once-colleagues thought of it. “I will accept this task, teacher.” She breathed softly, for it was her feminine way. “I think I shall quite enjoy such a journey.” Already Delilah knew that she would not seek out the many Scholarly friends that decorated her life- she would seek out only new faces, but those who were also wolves; for she cared little about the motivations for the careers outside and neighbouring Andarin. Delilah nodded then. “Iolar?” Delilah continued without hesitation, “You are not one of those I must find, but tell me for I am a curious mare, why is it that you have chosen the gardens here in the Academy- to dwell and prosper.” The pretty young bay rocked gently back to rest a hoof, and spread her weight equally across each of the others. With perfectly erect ears she listened, and was thoroughly interested.
