Delilah sighed also, though it was a thoughtful sound- contemplative. She released the oil-slick thread of black mane, which she had been working gently between her blunt teeth. She nodded humbly, accepting he friend’s plea to leave the cruel subject of her past but leaned her face tenderly against the mats across Oceantree’s water-damp neck.
