If Dathmire wanted sanity and peace, Hypatia may not be the teacher for him.
Hypatia is not calm. She is being slowly controlled by her Element, becoming –almost literally- one with the thoughts and feel of the Element below her and around her. Perhaps that happens 1 out of 3 times with a scholar. There are those who are powerful enough to control it, like Kale; those who are naïve and impulsive, like Nyota; and those who are overwhelmed by the presence of it all, consumed by it, like Hypatia.
Hypatia would be insulted though, if she did not teach. For her Fire is her passion for teaching, learning, acquiring all knowledge around her. It is her goal to know: when she is sane. Dathmire has the Academy right however. It is a calming place, a possessive place, reserved only for those who seek to enliven themselves. Perhaps that is what keeps Hypatia sane the most: the Academy’s peace. There is the Beginning her, and there is the calm release of the End. There is knowledge in every rock, and the trees blossom with stories, but it is not overwhelming. These are not petty thoughts like those of the equines of the Element, but strange, past thoughts. Thoughts about things that have already happened like stories to be told to them all.
And that brings Hypatia peace.
But suddenly, there is an outbreak in her mind as she stands within the solace of her peace. It was a scream. A panic of motion and thought and past and present. It was fear. It struck Hypatia so hard that her head dropped down towards her knees and she took short, ragged breathes for a few moments. Whoever this mind was, it needed help. Like the wildfire she was, she sprang towards the mind.
“Come!” She called out towards the golden-broken one. “I will help you float.”
They can work on sanity together.
ooc//I am SOOO SOOO sorry this is so late. It really am. I tried, but I've just recently had the chance to "breathe" again lately. I hope this makes up for it.
