Perhaps this is why we become scholars, he thinks; so many of us share this emptiness, and cannot find anything to fill it in battles or stealth. We look to each other for fulfillment, and Pirate knows that he will do whatever he can to help his student feel that wonderful fulfillment that he has found in his wind and the Academy.

It is time for Pirate to set a task for his student, and he knows the perfect thing that Electra can do to prove that she has grown. "Electra, I have a task for you," Pirate began, pausing to watch a breeze stir a nearby bush. "I want you to find a cause to fight for. Not literally, of course," Pirate smiles quietly, "But something that you can believe in."
They near a ruin and Pirate watches the decaying walls with bright eyes. "Until then, perhaps you can tell me about yourself." Pirate leaves the conversation open-ended, allowing Electra to speak as much or as little as she desires. Pirate is there for her.
