There are stories that we tell, that we listen to, stories that weave into our very souls and cause inspiration to rise like the smoke of a flame. There are stories that we long to hear over and over again, for they speak to the deep desires within us. There are stories that we can learn from, that we can love from, that we can life from. There are stories for everything around us.
But there are also stories that are never quite complete.
This is Antiope, who is now on a far chapter in her tale, but still she goes on. She has learned, has lived, and yet it is still not enough. It is why she draws breath each day. It is what she thinks of as she falls to sleep at night. There is still so many things she wishes to include in her story.
Today she is given a chance of sorts. The chance to learn. And this is enough for the pale white mare with the black face to draw near Hypatia as though they have been life-long friends. The fire dances about them now, and while she is still being swayed by it's beauty, she is content to direct her attention towards the other mare, letting the cool fire continue it's sensual movements.
"I am from everywhere." It is a vague answer, but she cannot think of one point in her past to pinpoint as where she came from. "The past is great, but it is nothing compared to the future." A pause as she thinks what to say next. "My name is Antiope. I wish to learn."
this isn't my first second chance
but at this point, who's counting?
ANTIOPE
