for even to think wrongly
is better than not to think at all."
Hypatia had kept more and more to the Academy. Hypatia is wild, free, and unbroken. There is nothing that gets in her way, nothing that can stop her. She moves slowly, perhaps, with thoughtless strides. Other things are on her mind: thoughts about her greatest friend, about the place she lives and the growing attachment she has to it. Yet, she seems to be doing nothing, and Hypatia certainly does not like that. She has not learned enough yet. Not from others, and not even about herself.
And that was her only goal in life.
And as Hypatia wanders around the golden Academy that never sleeps, lined with the Elements as if they were living beings, she sees a mare who walks with power, but hides it. Hypatia needed to speak with more of the scholars, for she needed to learn from them as they did from her. Plus, she did not know the other, and Hypatia hated not knowing something.
Hypatia may sound young and naïve, but she is an adult, strong and powerful herself. And she knows the Element, she loves the Academy the most.
“You have come here to learn. It is the greatest place for knowledge.” Hypatia voice is not one that startles, for certainly the other had heard her approach through the thick grass. A broken down monument looms to the left. “I am Hypatia, an Apprentice here, and you I do not know.” Hypatia does not mince words. Her fire springs from her eyes, blooming to life as soon as she steps into her true home here. It licks across her flesh, and she tries to restrain it, but it reaches out to the other mare before she can stop it. It is kind, though probing. Hypatia laughs a little. “It is as curious as I am. Perhaps as you are.”
